HATs and other add-ons • Re: Configuring LCD DPI waveshare with Audio

First of all, thanks, this finally settles the battle with the dpi waveshare screen.
However, maybe I wasnt too clear, while trying making the max98357a work I turned off all the drivers of the waveshare making it completely disabled, that is I uncommented everything in the config.txt. I guess that my debugging process now has turned into: is the max98357a working at all, or not? Because so far I havent emitted a single note from it (there was just an instant noise at a moment using bullseye but it was not a bip) whereas the pam8302a in the end emitted some bip at a certain point.

So, I am now at the point where I would like to make sense of the things I have and see if they actually work:
Pam8302a is a no go,
DPI LCD waveshare is working but not with any i2s modules attached so it can be useful to have it around
Max98357a is not working at all?

Because I was delving into making few gadgets and anything I could come up with implied screen and audio working together at times and I cannot find such solution. Having said that I am afraid in buying other things that maybe myself cannot make them work.

As for the project itself I am reaching the point of the worst case scenario which is enlarging the 3d enclosure, inserting a usb speaker, dc input and maybe the button for the volume. Before resorting to this I am still hoping for a solutions/alternatives from the community.

By the way, I take the comment concerning the 5 years ago guide as a note to myself for future project. I guess I should be more careful in the future!
