Until now I used the 1.8.5 installer on my Linux box. Worked reliable all the time and there was no need to upgrade for me. Today I decided to try 2.0.6 - and detected I first have to uninstall the 1.8.5 installer because there were installation conflicts detected.

I hesitated to uninstall the good old reliable installer 1.8.5 ... but given I have a backup I installed 2.0.6 to check whether I still can use the 2.x installer to prime a headless system: The installation finished and one reboot happened, but then I was able to login via ssh successfully.

Looks like the Windows folks should start to use a Linux system (just kidding :) ) I think root cause of the Windows issues with the installer are caused by the fact the installer is developed on Linux and Windows support is added later - but Windows experiences lack in the development team.
