The stock Linux kernel doesn't have any driver for Altobeam WiFi controllers. In theory https://github.com/OpenIPC/atbm_60xx is the driver as the code does mention that specific 8888 PID. The problem is that its from the source dump of some unknown IP camera and meant for a much older version of Linux. There will likely be a lot of work needed to get it compatible with a 6.6 kernel and then the ongoing maintenance.
Get a different WiFi dongle if you want an easier life. If you're okay with 802.11bgn then the kernel has a driver for RTL8192CU which should work but YMMV. WiFi dongles under Linux are a hassle to deal with.
